There is no forcing in believing in Islam. A person should come to their own conclusions and decisions, as this is the true believer from the heart:

“There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in Taghut (false deities, idols, etc.) and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.” (Surah Al Baqarah 2:256)

hey man, the word (Allah) means God in arabic, but as you said you believe in a one God but not a muslim.

The only time Allah will not punish you is if you have never heard about Islam even though you were searching for the truth or you have some kind of disability. But for the people who know Islam is the truth such as the ex:(Jews) they will be punished.
