I am a Christian and I adore Harry Potter. Harry Potter a FANTASY so it's not like I take the spells seriously. But I still love them and know a lot of them. :)

my english teacher, who is also a reverend wouldn't let her sons read Harry Potter because its about witches, and yet we study Macbeth. WTF?

she's so right!

How did Harry Potter become more religiously entwined than Lord of the Rings? LOTR talks about creation and afterlife. HP is just about witchcraft and magic.

I am 28 and I've been Wiccian since I turned ten years old. Being wiccian is nothing like people see on TV or in the movies! I have many friends who's religion is different from my own and I do respect that nor do I throw my religion at others! To me, a person religion should be private. I started reading Harry in my early 20's and I love them. Deep down, they are about having good morals and friendships not about religion! Get over it people and let kids read!

@13LuciusArchangel most ppl are agnostic or atheist. ppl say they are christian but just by name, they dont believe in that stuff. europe has the highest rate of non-religious ppl i know of. in nordic states 80% or more dont believe in god.
But Satain Rituals is the best class at Hogwarts.

It really says a lot when Christians see Harry Potter as legitimate competition.
