Toyota vs Nissan

The old, low tech 'cruiser walks up the climb that no other vehicle on the trip could get up. When a 3.0l TD GU Patrol tries, all he gets for his efforts is a dented panel and the honour of being recovered by the mighty 60 series.

He had open diffs and tried the "momentum method". He ended up denting the panel at the front of the driver's door on an exposed tree root and got stuck with diagonally opposed wheels spinning. I don't have footage of his attempt.

Hmmm, maybe driver error, hill wasnt that bad, Patrol should have made it easily

The hill's worse than it looks. The view from the bottom shows it better.  It is loose sand and there is a section where diagonally opposed wheels drop into holes. Basically, any vehicle without diff locks or very good traction control won't make the climb.

@MessyJ Im guessing you had Diff Locks than. Pretty sure the 60 series didnt come out with traction control ROFL
