I use to say that 8 strings was enough. Then I got an 8 string and said, "...maybe 9 strings isn't too unreasonable..." Haha!

I'm going to assume for the sake of my sanity that the 9 either has an alternate tuning that makes 9 strings practical or just has one higher. Because a low B or C# would just... be... well... too much to handle. Admiral Angry tunes to drop D (an octave below regular drop-d), and that's almost too much.
