Sept. 10, 2010... Helen Skopis of Athens International Radio interviews financial analyst, Max Keiser:
On the onset of EuroStat's scheduled visit to Greece in order to secure a solid estimate of the total value of debt hidden by the country through opaque financial contracts. ... Helen Skopis asks financial analyst, Max Keiser his views on the following questions:
1) Why did EuroStat's Director General Walter Rademacher describe its upcoming investigation of Greek "creative financing" as " this is a new era"?
2) Perhaps by stating "a new era" Rademacher indicates a possibility that Greece's debt is higher or much higher than currently reported and that this "new era" actually means new austerity measures will be needed?
3) In 2008, after EuroStat asked countries to report the use of complex swap contracts , Rademacher stated Greece was the only European country which lied, reporting they were not utilized. Is this true? Was Greece the only country which covered up the use of these intricate financial instruments?
4) The extra yield the market is demanding for Greek bonds compared to German bonds is over 900 basis points. When is the yield for Greek bonds going to drop?
5) Germany has shown growth and enjoyed an increase in exports. Why are these facts not acting as a steam engine for the Euro zone economy?
6) Norway's sovereign fund finds Greek bonds safe to buy. Why do other entities think otherwise?
7) Greece is planning to auction 26 week T-Bills on September the 14th. How does Max Keiser foresee the sale going?

  • Great interview shame about the news.

We're not going to stop the genocide taking place in Greece.

Old poor people are convicted to death due to the cuts in healthcare and madicines.

Poor children of unemployed people go hungry or live on scraps.

What for? So that the "leaders" can pay back the international bankers for putting them in power.

The traitors in charge are killing our people and spend billions of taxpayer money for their own PR, security and for lining their pockets.

  • Stupid Greeks. These idiots want the govt to keep paying their luxurious benefits/pensions when the govt doesn't have the money. Socialism causes laziness. I wouldn't loan Greece a penny unitl they cleaned up thier act. A country can't exist by paying lazy freeloaders exorbitant benefits.

  • It's looking like Germany is dominating Europe and may even start applying pressure to the Russian sphere of influence by the end of the century perhaps.

  • @RapisDeady

Boo hoo you fucking fascist. The USA is going bankrupt and the stupid citizens can't get it through their head that the party is over.

  • @GeorgeGreekTrucker

Boo fucking hoo you socialist idiot. Don't you think it's time for citizens of ANY country to take responsibility for their own lives? You idiots in Europe have been living very comfortably for decades...and now it's time to pay the piper. Socialism does NOT work. Europe is going bankrupt and the stupid citizens can't get it through their head that the party is over.

  • @overseachininadoll Because the workers and engineers you speak of are treated with respect in Germany. They share the wealth of their country with the people while the U.S. corporations steal the profits made possible by the workers. Greed by corporations and politicians has destroyed America. That greed has sold out our means of production to China all in the name of profits. It's sad Americans believe the propaganda shoved down their throats.

  • I hope this will help to dear Greek friends for not keeping on playing enemi versus Turkey. Every country needs another , and we have to change antagonistic approaches in order to have a continious peace on the region.

  • @GeorgeGreekTrucker εχω το video response εδω. Το έκανα ηδη καλό μου :)

Why is ireland also choking? The Irish economy just a few years ago was compared to the Asian tigers!

Germany has a larger population and more resources, Also they had their country subsidized by the U.S during the cold war and did not have the burden of having to pay for defense and the upkeep of a standing army, Germany did not have a military dictatorship during the 1960's and early 70's, Germany is not a unitary state but a Federal state that's more decentralized.

  • @vasoula2908 Credit default swaps or currency, or bond swaps,
