my mom walked out of our liife at age 12 and 13 me and my older brother and my dad who had bad bad health problems but our father took care of us and he was my hero he done everything he could to supprt us cookin everything but when your kids are young they will have questions i did and i still do and somedays i sit and think was it me but i have my father who i dont have to ask him if he loves me because he was the one who filled that empty space in my heart I LOVE YOU DADDY LOVE YOUR LIL GIRL

My wife left me and our 3 children sept of 2011. I am still confussed as the reason, but cary on each and everyday for my children. She is a grown woman, able to make her own desisions, but I can not fathom walking out on my kids. I am even raising her son.. The hardest hit is our little girl, 5, who just wants a mommy, and for us to be a family and happy again. Moving on is harder than I ever thought. To all the single fathers, stay strong, and you are in my thoughs and prayers.

I never saw my dad growing up, then he died when I was around 7 from alcohol poisoning. My mom told me that this song reflected my growing up, just through an opposite point of view.
