This is fairly mild compared to the seas that the old ferry's such as the 'South Steyne' & 'Baragoola' used to plough through. It was very rare for them to be cancelled. Let's remember that they sailed over from the UK though. I remember being on the Lady Wakehurst (when the old ferries were being serviced. @vladika07 "will sink on calm seas, nose heavy, very bad". The nose? You must mean the bow. Have a look at the stern. What's that? Another bow (or nose, as you'd say). This is a double-ended harbour ferry and isn't intended to go on the high seas in all weather, but can be taken a little out to sea in fair to middling conditions, or cross the Sydney Harbour headlands where it's exposed to ocean swells. How would you make a double-ender lighter in the bow?

lets see the new manly fast service deal with these conditions
the best chance to experience this is in winter (june-september). But when the weather is really bad the ferry service is cancelled.
