With Miley..
I decided to call Nick and ask him if he wanted to go into town with me. He had to be done with Selena by now. I called him the first time, but no one answered. I got him the second time. "Hello?"
"Nick? What's wrong?" He sounded nervous and shaky.
"Nothing, Miley. What's up?" I was now suspicous, but decided to hold it off.
I sat down on a bench outside -- Nick and I's usual spot to meet at, and Joe's sleeping spot for when he gets bored, but that's another story. "I wanted to know if you wanted to go into town with me. There's a carnival in town!" I loved carnivals.. I was just thankful it wasn't a circus, because I hate clowns.
"Uhh," he paused, "I don't know."
I heard a familiar voice in the background and knew who it was. "Hey, is that Joe? As him if he wants to come, too!"
"What? Miley, can't it just be me and y-,"
"Hey, Miley." It sounded like Joe swiped the phone from him. "I'd like to go with you."
I smiled and got butterflys in my stomach for some reason. "Okay. I'm outside.. you know where I am."
"Alright, see you in a minute." With that, he hung up. I took the phone away from my ear and smiled, flipping it shut with my finger.
With Nick and Joe; Joe's point of view..
"DUDE! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"
"Um.. I'm going to carnival." My intentions were to tell Miley, no matter what it were to do to Nick and I. Our relationship with tumble down hill, but Miley's my bestfriend, and this is what bestfriends do.
"JOE! You CAN'T tell Miley!"
"Why?" I smirked. I wanted to find out his answer.
"You just can't.. I can just keep this a secret. I won't ever do it again."
"Yeah," I smiled, "I bet that's what you said about all the other girls."
I opened the door and left. I wasn't going to let Miley think that Nick has been faithful all this time. Miley would live her life loving him and devoting herself to him, and she wouldn't even know of the things he's done.
When I made it outside, I saw Miley tapping her fingers on her knees with her head tilted back. She looked bored. "Miley," I ran up to her and she stood up, crossing her arms over her stomach for some reason. "Are you okay?"
"I just have a stomach ache." I felt bad.
"If you don't feel well, we can stay here and find something else to do." I offered.
"No, I'm alright." I wasn't going to fight with her. I nodded and we both took the bus into town. When we got there, her face lit up with a smile. She gazed at all the carnvial lights and walked in circles.
"You like this, don't you?"
She nodded and giggled, which made me smile. "Let's go on the carosel." She started running towards the carosel, but I just walked. I eventually caught up to her hyper-active self. We got on quite a few rides and played a new games. I popped some balloons and won a small white teddy bear, but I gave it to her. "Can we sit down somewhere? I'm really not feeling to well now."
I nodded and we wandered off into a field with no one in it. There was sand and a swing set, so we both sat on the swings and talked. "Miley, I need to tell you something, but it might ruin your night."
"Can I tell you something first?"
I nodded, "Sure."
She sighed deeply and put the bear in between her legs, pushing herself lightly on the swing with her feet. It was dark, and all I could see was the carnival lights around us. I could see her perfectly, though. "I.." She got choked up.
"Miley, if you don't want to say it, don't."
"I.. I don't want.. to be with Nick anymore." Was it wrong to be happy?
"Wow.. Why, Miley?"
"I've just realized that I don't like him.. He's just been using me.. and I feel like he's been keeping secrets." I turned my head away.
"Ummmm.." I said to myself and looked at her again. I had doubts about telling her now..
