Claude Harmon III and Ryan Crysler provide you with expert golf instruction in this episode of The Contact Show. Ryan and Claude start off with a short-sided flop shot "where most players may dig it, top it...I like to have players get close to it, open the face and hit the ball with the toe." Claude continues in the episode with a simple key around the greens with your @VokeyWedges. Finally, Ryan has a teaching point about releasing your putter head through impact: "players try to hold off the release to control speed...what we need to do is to practice feeling the putter release."

@glock35ipsc excellent, I haven't ever really tried the flop on a tight lie. and I am an idpa g19 myself.

@metamurph - I use a 60-08, and it works well for the same type of flop shot he showed. Definitely practice it a lot before using it on the course though if you haven't already. If you mess up, it's a rocket. But when you pull it off, it's one of the sweetest shots to be made!

so for tight lie flop is that a 60-04 and do you think the shot can be done as readily with a club with more bounce?
