you prob'ly know this but if it has to be choked to run well, the carburetor needs cleaning.

get seafoam fuel cleaner.. it'll clean the carb. mix it with a little bit of gas & 2 cycle oil. autozone, advanceautoparts etc..

I have the same snowblower which I bought new and I always use a 2cycle oil with a fuel stabilizer in it. This way if you forget to properly store and run it out of gas in the spring you will have less problems when you need it again. I have never had mine fail to start up on the first or seond pull by doing this. Every spring I run it out of fuel and after the engine stops I give it a couple more pulls and it is ready to go for the next winter.

i got a newer one like that for free too form an old guy lol. for some reason he though it wouldnt start so he snipped of the electric starter. when i got it home it worked fine! lol anyways they arn't self propelled from the wheels but when the ogger is spinning it pulls the machine so it really isnt to much work to use it in deep snow.
