Yes, but when our friend is being "other than that" and feeling sad to me it also says that they are experiencing some contrast. I don't think it is better to not notice it, nor do I believe that not noticing it is the only sign of alignment. One who notices their friend experiencing contrast and remembers the value of contrast and turns their attention to the clarity their friend is now coming to understand better- such a person is in alignment.
