OMG, why is the video so short?

Maybe almost all religions share this mutual disgust for the female genitalia, because some homosexualls felt guilty about bringing their blood line to an end, making up a bunch of greater purposes to get other things to focus on, and then later become the clerics of society. Maybe religions hate pussy because its creators are all a bunch of faggots.
Ofcourse this is just a theory. More corroborated than gravity and heliocentricism, but slightly less than evolution.

"religion becomes poison when it gains the power of coercion"
So as soon as you take it seriously and believe that not acting a certain way damns you to hell then?
-
Unfortunately not only religion but Hitchens too deserves criticism. He may have left his earlier extrem Left proclivity in part, but as for his hate of religion it is a straightforward reiteration of Marx's own statements. Personally I think that religion becomes poison when it gains the power of coercion. But there is no need to directly assault religious belief, since one can readily surmise how social groups of evolving hominids developed beliefs in conjunction with emerging self-awareness.

ok, well I definitely don't oppose sex just because it's sex; I guess we disagree on the God aspect, but we agree on the main point, which is that abstinence is a responsible approach

the later stages of relationship(which I don't automaticaly equate with marriage) would be truly wise and I have no problem with some official propagation of this idea. On the other hand, not because God supposedly cries every time one has premarital sex, but precisely because the risk is too high. And this should be coupled with all-around approval of safe sex in cases the relationship thing doesn't work out every time. Yes to responsibility - for real reasons.

So am I. Education is indeed crucial and people have to know the consequences of their actions should they be able to make a correct decision.(which is f.e. another problem I have with some religious zealots-their stern opposition to any form of sexual education)The reason I snaped at You in the beginning was probably that I put You in the same bag as people who oppose sex just because it's sex. In Africa abstinence, or at least careful committed choice of partners and postponing of sex until...

Abstinence is a matter of personal INFORMED choice, that's why education is so important, wouldn't you agree? I don't agree with threats of eternal damnation, but actions have consequences, denying that would be disingenuous.
"if he knows his words will not be heeded, he should act accordingly and change his aproach."
Key word is APPROACH; not the rules, I'm glad we agree.

I have no problem with abstinence as long as it remains a matter of personal choice. I do however have a problem with people trying to impose abstinence on everybody else via threats of eternal damnation. As if they spoke for God and had the right to command everyone around on his behalf.
And I do belive that a parent should decide upon his actions based on the presumed conseqeunces - if he knows his words will not be heeded, he should act accordingly and change his aproach.
Only Hitchens can say he likes pussy with such a straight face.
