If you are so in love with you nature analogy you based on false assumptions about atheists.. it's taking care of everyone in a group no matter how strong or weak to benefit the whole of society and to make the whole group strong. It is also about showing compassion and responsability for you fellow men so you can expect the same from him when you need help. I guess that is something American christians don't value.. How ironic.

"Atheists believe in nature, right?"
We don't believe in nature. You don't need to believe in something you can study and participate in. o_O
"t would seem to me that this is going against natural selection and survival of the fittest?"
That's social darwinism. You know, that nasty thing you have going on in the US?
"Making rich people pay for poor people's coverage doesn't sound very natural to me."
Clearly you have no clue how medical care in Europe works. XD

What is it with Americans never getting that we have social democracies with regulated capitalism in Europe? *headdesk*

The catholic preist actually seems ok, the rest come across like fucking idiots.
It's funny how atheists like to quote the bible, as long as it agrees with their ideas.

@wiz9496 "It's funny how atheists like to quote the bible, as long as it agrees with their ideas."
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...even funnier when christians pick and choose the passages they want to follow while claiming to be true christians.
atheists quote the bible to christians to show their hypocrisy, not because they think the bible is correct.

@C0ct0pusPrime I don't believe the bible, either, but don't you feel dishonest to use it for any effect? I guess it bothers me. It's like an atheist asking, "what would Jesus do".

not at all. if christians consider the bible to be holy and true, they shouldn't pick and choose the parts they abide by. atheists simply point out that christians usually don't care about what jesus would do...many use the bible to justify their bigotry, though, which i despise.

The rise of Capitalist China (where I'm building my life) ***completely refutes*** both the Fox News jerks *and* Coctopus' anti-capitalist rant. The U.S. had the best healthcare system in the world in the early 1960s, which was before the onslaught of hyper-regulation that created a handful of mega cartels with exorbitant prices. An ambulance ride here in China costs about $15, compared to $1000 in America. I'm enjoying my fellow atheists (60% of the population) and lovely Chinese capitalism!
