Mount Windows System Restore Points To Browse And Extract Files by Britec

System Restore Explorer

System Restore Explorer is a tool which allows you to browse system restore points on your computer and select individual ones for deletion should you wish to free up some disk space. It also allows you to mount the contents of a restore point into a folder so that you can browse and copy individual files, without the need to perform a full system restore.

Windows XP, Vista, 7

  • How in the world do you manage to find all of these useful application?

  • @ConstanceShadow That would be telling lol

  • Another nice video...thanks again. Your other video on "Shadow Defender" explains that you can also extract files from the past...however with this piece of software, you can delete specific restore points. I've been looking for software that could do that so props to you my man!!

  • @SirSilversilk I remember someone saying something a while ago about deleting restore points.

  • Nice little tool there for doing that, will take a look when I need that for later. Many thanks for the video keep up the good work.

  • @highlinder1968 Thanks for the kind words and support :)

  • @TheJamblaster

    You are welcome.

  • @kado897

    TYVM I appreciate that info.

  • @TheJamblaster

I can't remember whether it is new. It's on the tools page. You can delete any but the last RP.

  • @kado897

I didn't know that, I'll have to check it out. Is that a new feature of a new version or did I just miss that function?

  • @TheJamblaster

Yes and CCleaner can do that for you.

  • @kado897

The only thing this can do that Previous Versions doesn't is delete specific restore points in case of virus. Otherwise it is useless IMO.

  • How is that an advantage over Windows 7 previous versions?
