The MIT players had more favorable conditions that no longer exist in todays casinos. So forget about get rich via card counting. You are only fooling yourself! If you don't believe me take your inheritance and try your skills. The casino will be laughing all the way to the BANK.

The fact is you can win and lose with card counting, almost just as much as you could just playing basic strategy. Card counting gives you a measly 1% advantage over the casino providing everyone on the table is playing perfect basic strategy. But thats not the case. How it swings back to the casino's favor is the NASTY VARIANCE. It will absolutely make you spin. And you will be on a wild goose chase trying to get your money back.

@lockerzptz101 when your count goes above 3 you should bet because that means less low cards are in play and more high cards are in the game

@lockerzptz101 if you count at least ist + you know that in the deck are more high cards than low cards, soo the chance is higher that the bank gets fucking busted..:)

@90bizzle Also, for those of you asking what to do with my count. the higher your count is the more you want to bet, if you ever hit +6 BET BIG as it usually pays off. -3 bet lean. but thats just my personal opinion on how to use the strategy(ies) that i use and am rather successful with.

the running count you have gets converted into your true count (running count is what you see on the table true count is the number of decks in the shoe (most popular casinos may use as many as 8 decks in the shoe while some may use 4 or 6) you get your true count (using the hi-lo system shown) by dividing your count by the number of decks in the shoe. personally, i like the KO strategy because there is no need for a conversion in most unbalanced strategy.
