CSX Q702 in Autumn Brilliance at Iona Island

**WATCH IN HIGH QUALITY!**
On the morning of October 26th, 2008, railfans in the Hudson Valley were blessed with a cloudless sky, perfect fall foliage, beautiful scenery...and ONE train! CSX Q702 (...the trash train!) heads north over Iona Island and Fort Montgomery on its journey up the Hudson towards Selkirk. Shot on CSX's River Subdivision at Bear Mountain, NY.

Haha you know man, every time I go up to fan on the River Line in Bear Mountain I think about the EXACT same thing! Idk man, I don't think it would be really hard to tell you the truth, I mean, its gorgeous as HELL up there man, and as long as she's not a one of those "like, OMG" one's, then I think it'd be worth a try. Now if I could find a decent girl in this town who isn't one of those then I'd put it to the test....

Wow, nice! I would love to be crew of that train, SD40-2's and an awesome sceneric route! Why is that guy on the bridge? I don't think people are supposed to be on the bridge...

I love the views, it's like viewing a model, boy, that would make one awesome model!

Hahaha, that guy was on Bear Mountain Bridge for the same reason that I was on a cliff: he was there enjoying being pissed off cuz GOD KNOWS WHY CSX decided NOT to run the north and southbound AM intermodal fleets as they were supposed to. On any morning on the River Sub, you can shoot anywhere from 6-12 intermodals in the AM hours, working the light and scenery to your advantage. And on a gorgeous sunny day with almost peak fall color, CSX decided to just put the boot up the ass.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. Yea, I'll admit it, the view from this vantage point is kickass! I'll be back up there this weekend, shooting the intermodal fleets and whatever fall color is still left over there after the nor'easter today.

Very nice indeed! Like the multiple scenes in the beginning and then the last one with all the bridges showing traffic going in either direction and the train moving below.
