Sam meets with Ross Mathews as a guest on his new show called "Inside Dish", a web series and part of the television entertainment news show "The Insider". Sam will appear in several episodes, so he reversed the camera, and talks to Ross to find out how all this came to be for him. But more importantly, they talk about his baby Louise, his obsession with Yogurtland and sugar-free Slushies at 7/11... with a little bonus footage.

Ross Mathews (born in Mount Vernon, Washington), well known as Ross the Intern, is an American television personality known mostly for his role as a correspondent for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. A former intern on that show, he is referred to by Jay Leno as "Ross the Intern".

Ross grew up in Mount Vernon, Washington, and is a graduate of University of La Verne in La Verne, California. He was a communications major and successful speech and debate competitor.

He has been a regular on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno since December 2001, covering movie premieres, the Academy Awards, two different Winter Olympics Games and countless other events.[3] In addition to his role on The Tonight Show, Mathews also writes a daily blog at www.helloross.com. He produced and hosted a web-show on nbc.com with Tonight Show announcer John Melendez titled The John & Ross Show. He has contributed commentary to the E! networks various 101... specials. Now Ross is the host of his own web-talk show called Inside Dish with Ross Mathews.

He has appeared on a number of reality shows, including the 2003 incarnation of the reality television show, Battle of the Network Reality Stars, in which he was a member of the Red Team. He also appeared on the fifth season of VH1's reality television show, Celebrity Fit Club. During the course of the show, which premiered in April 2007, Mathews lost more than 40 lbs. and helped his team win the grand prize. After the final episode of Fit Club aired, Mathews revealed his weight to the public for what he said was the last time, which was 164, down 50 pounds from his original 214.

Ross was a guest host on The View (July 17, 2007), one of the very few men to sit on the panel. Former co-host, Rosie O'Donnell is Mathews' mentor, according to the Celebrity Fit Club finale. He also appeared as a celebrity mob member on seven episodes of NBC's prime time game show 1 vs. 100 in early 2008.

On May 14 and September 9, 2008, he appeared in a guest role on the NBC daytime drama, Days of our Lives.

Ross Mathews, who for the past seven years has established himself as a natural and spontaneous interviewer as "Ross The Intern" on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, will bid a fond farewell to his intern status .

Having built a strong following for his reporting on air with The Tonight Show, online with his daily video blogs and appearances on The View, VH-1's "Celebrity Fit Club," TV Guide, E!, etc., each Web talk show on TheInsider.com will open with Mathews' unique perspective on what's going on in the world, followed by an array of segments or interviews of the day.
