4 year old Diego Tries cross country!

this brave 15.1hh frosted dun gelding was briefly backed by us as a three year old, during about a two week period. As a four year old he was brought into work. Shown here in his first xc lesson at about two months under saddle. In this lesson he was introduced to logs, uneven terrain, water jumps, ditches and drops.

He was competed in low level eventing as a 4 year old, placing in all of those competitions, culminating in a win in open entry. In 2010 he is expected to be competing at the pretraining level, after a winter of being laid off.
For now, we want to hold onto this talented youngster.

Poor Diego doesn't look like he likes the little drop. :):)

I wonder how Shocking will like those :/ We have no cross country at my barn because I'm the only eventer so it may be a challenge :)

@ilubshocking The first time doing drops is sometimes a headache.. My horses have all ended up loving them after some practice though! Best of luck
