What ill will be discussing over the next few months is everything you need to know to start your garden and get it to a point where it can be useful to you and your family. We will cover topics such as gardening, vegetables, food, health, natural systems and more. Sustainable living and solutions for saving you money, saving you time and making your life much better in the process. The secrets are in the soil !

This video is all about mulching. Mulching is the process of laying decomposing plant material over your plant beds to retain water and nutrients as well as providing a layer of new compost for the following year. It also insulates the soil keeping roots warm and growing strongly. Mulching creates conditions in the soil that attract earth worms and this is really good for any planting whether it is vegetables, herbs, garden plants or fruit trees. Mulching is natures process of recycling plant matter.

If you would like to see more of these then you can subscribe here on youtube.

We all need to do a little gardening now and then and it can be a whole lot of fun if we just get our hands down into the soil and smell that compost a little. Living life in a sustainable way is really a good idea in the next few years because the way we are currently supplied with food, energy etc. will be changing as economies shift and change in the near future. We need to find new solutions for making our lives stable and healthy and this series of film clips is what that is all about. I will be posting regular video blogs on here all about planting, gardening, vegetables, herbs and more. As I learn and visit different people I will be sharing these insights with you. Also I am creating an online workshop all about permaculture and sustainable living. Come discover with me how to plant crops in the spring, autumn and winter and all about feeding the soil with nutrients. A community project about natural systems, ecology and the environment. Here on youtube and on other sites ill be exploring all kinds of interesting ways of living with nature and technology to create more efficient systems and a sustainable future. Attracting the earth worms is the first step to healthy plants !!
