@emberfur19 Back when pokemon started the only pokemon that showed distinctive genders were nidoran male and female branches, that is also why they have their own pokedex numbers, but yes pikachu is a boy for what we know

XD Heheh, yeah, I don't tend to like the pikachu in the anime either. I've always liked Meowth, and later I liked Mewtwo.

That didn't really come out until the later games, where as Pikachu could have been a girl in the beginning and never got the tail changed.

(I'm just being subjective.)
