Track 2.

Silver EP (2006):

Silver is the third release and second EP by Jesu, released by Hydra Head Records on April 11, 2006.[1] This album, their second EP, shows a more melodic and poppy side than the previously crushing Jesu releases, gaining comparisons to legendary shoegazer bands such as My Bloody Valentine and Ride.[2]
The Japanese version of this album contains two additional mixes of the songs "Silver" and "Wolves".

Lyrics:
if i could just ignore it
if i could just forget it
if i could just ignore it
like you do
like you
if i could just forget it
like you do
like you

could have been a star
all you dreamed you are
i could have gone so far
like you do
like you

it won't be so hard
not for you
not you

it won't be so hard
not for you
not you
(repeat x5)

Personnel:
Justin Broadrick guitar, vocals, programming
Diarmuid Dalton bass
Ted Parsons drums on "Silver"

  • nice!!

a lot of atmosphere to this song here.

i wish they would play that into part another four measures. i play the first 48 seconds of this song over and over and over. not to romanticize too much, but it really takes you where you want to go.

my favorite song from this album/ep.

    thanks for posting!

    cheers to all jesu fans!

  • What's so great about the first 48 seconds? Good song, but I like their slow heavy stuff much better.

  • i heard 48 seconds of this song went out and bought all the jesu i could find jkb always delivers in epic ways

  • unstoppable

  • This is one of the best love letters to My Bloody Valentine I've ever heard. Broaderick captures the essence and intensity of Isn't Anything with his own heavy crush in a way that most poseur shoegaze indie bands never could.

  • @frididjurhuus maybe its the drum riff

  • @wasabi1787 I also feel the resemblance.

  • i love them. thank u for uploadin'

  • @deadclownsociety uhhhhh... Are you daft? Or deaf?
