It took Beverly Hills Firefighters from Engine 1 approximately 30 minutes to rescue two kittens trapped in an area between the engine and upper wheel-well of a car on the 600 block of Walden Drive, near Carmelita Drive. The owner of the car heard kittens meowing from the engine compartment of his vehicle and called the Fire Department. Firefighters had to remove some parts, roll the vehicle backwards and jack it up a little to reach the kittens. Two young ladies in the neighborhood told Firefighters they planned to adopt and take care of the two lucky kittens.
