Man! Will you listen to those basslines... very cool! Nobody does that today (not that I know of). The creatiity and spirit of pure fun in creation is swamped over by a tsunami of corporate cookie-cutter control of perfection today.... so sad!
This was a few years before I was born but this music just feels so perfect!

this was easily their most pschedelic/transcendental moment, and should have been the A side, sadly however it's probably their least known song amongst the majority.truly hardcore fans usually rate it as their favourite however...

I heard that when George Martin and them were mixing this song They took Ringos original drumming and played it backwards. and thats what they put on the record.

Rain is my favorite beatles song and proof to all those who claim that the beatles weren't good musicians. .they were.

I like a lot the drums!!! ... This Ringo guy must have been ranked as one of the best drummers of the twentieth century...
-
the first time i really heard this song i thought, paul and ringo must be aliens because no humans could play like that. i think i heard ringo says this is his best work.

@dne743 Ok thanks for the tip I'll look into it. Yes I am interested as they were so unique in many ways but especially how they used the studio.......lets face it they shut themselves away in Abbey Rd to make 'music' changing records for the last half of their career!

This song just calls to me! I will never get tired of it, I reckon.... Love live the Fabs!

god i sure wish we still had the rest of the band
The Beatles were awesome musicians, George was a great lead guitar harmonist, paul was a nutty bass player, and listen to the drums on this song, you dont hear this now a days...John and George had one of the best rhythm sections I know of....George Martin actually slowed down the lead guitar part on purpose to give it that dragged out sound...AMAZING

From Wikipedia:
Geoff Emerick, who was the engineer for both sessions, described one technique he used to alter the sonic texture of the track by recording the backing track "faster than normal." After playing the tape normally, "the music had a radically different tonal quality.
