@AlfredDaSauce historically asymmetric warfare has been a bitch for the larger force... and in a place like iraq, with many developed urban areas it makes the job even harder because now the conventional force has to account for 3 dimentions more often, expend more resources and so on... and with USAS options being limited, like no making peace or walling off iraq from the world or a few nuclear strikes to induce fear, you take away the only things that make it possible to win this type of war
