Carnival Confetti Test in Times Square

Times Square Alliance President Tim Tompkins and John Heald, Senior Cruise Director of first-time official confetti sponsor Carnival Cruise Lines, throw handfuls of confetti from eight stories above onto the streets of Times Square to test its airworthiness in preparation for the release of 2,000 pounds of confetti -- by hand from various buildings in Times Square -- at midnight on New Year's Eve. Also, a look at some of the 2011 wishes placed on the Carnival Confetti New Year's Eve Wishing Wall.
