The pretty things are the shizzle nizzle their styles are consistent and heavily influenced with true passion. If only their music was truly recognized. I'm so sick of music today I'm embarrassed to be from this generation. It's a crying shame. There is so much good music out there but its not getting out. WHY? Corporate America is turning every country a corporation what happened to the people. Why is everyone selling out? WHY??????

Damn this is some of the best music ever!!!

Anybody else think the opening bass line was inspired by Paul McCartney's from "Paperback Writer?"

Whatever happened to Peter Tolson after he left The Broughtons?

scorching guitars

Yay Peter Tolson! Saw em on the Silk Torpedo gigs. Brilliant

Unfortunately Tolson had an opportunity to rejoin the modern Pretty Things but appears his heart wasn't in it... Wish he would've.. Jimmy Page and lots if others in the Brit scene then considered him top notch and somewhat of a rival.. You can clearly see why...The guy is a fucking monster...

Wow! I didn't know the guitar player what that good! Old heavy blues at it's best! And vocals a la Beatles, what a band!!!

i totally agree its a shame they didnt get th recognition they deserve!
from 1968 until 1971/72, the pretty things were one of THE hardest rocking, most psychedelic (in the true sense of the word: intense) bands on the planet: as an aggressive piece of psych, with brilliant arranging and production courtesy of norman smith (see also early pink floyd...), "defecting grey" absolutely rules: no other psych "nugget", whether UK or US even comes close.
I had the honour of seeing the pretties twice in my life; 1987 and then again in 2006; they still cook up a mean brew.

reksub look for the album Parachute. It's there best in my opinion, with SF Sorrow a close second.
