This a lesson for "I Don't Need No Doctor" by John Mayer live in LA. I've watched and listened to his live version so my tab should be correct. Sorry about the bass notes in the riff. I'm recording of my iMac and you can't hear them very well. If you have anything different please leave a comment or message me. Thanks

  • it wuld have sounded real funky if the band was behind it ;)

  • @tmw102292 may i suggest you improvise :) but thats just a suggestion :)

  • THANKYOU

  • Just a bit of a correction...while Mayer changed it up a little, the basic riff, as well as the chord changes and voicings are John Scofield's, from Sco's Ray Charles tribute album, on which Mayer appeared.

  • thx for the lesson, but I cant do it. =(

  • @tmw102292 i can

  • The tone of that Gibson is just horrible. tune it or check the intonation. You sound WAY out of tune when you do the 2nd lick up near the 12th fret of the main riff. And while you're at it, get a decent amp. Good chops and playing tho, a decent tone and you'd sound 100% better.

  • plz make a tab for solo! :-P
