So Tom made a dinner date with his wife (presumably a last-ditch attempt to save their relationship). Here I was, thinking there would be a dramatic returnee-related situation that required him to miss the dinner in order to save someone's life or something. But no, turns out he just FORGOT it while doing some routine questioning. No wonder she wants a divorce.

@WoundedWolfgirl I agree, that term is perfectly accurate & acceptable. It doesn't apply only to black/white couples, though. It can be any combo. My parents are an interracial couple, and they're both white: he's American & she's German (immigrated to the States when she was 19yrs old). My sister and brother-in-law are also an interracial couple: she's American/German & he's Rwandan (he immigrated to the States about 7 years ago and just became a citizen in April). She's white and he's black.
