why do anything to any neon, the trans was the main reason, plus the adjustable suspension firmness does just as good for drag as scca. plus with street tires and no nos it still could have competed in auto x

@neondriver17 ACRs were ment for road courses, not drag racing.

No 1st gen neon can compete in SCCA Auto X. Stock class 1 gen neons get slaughtered. Well maybe not if you are at a points event, but at a Pro Solo or National Auto X they don't stand a chance. You are better off buying a Cobalt SS or a Mini Cooper S, or even a SRT-4 if you want to be able to compete in stock class.
