Knight Rider's KITT is interviewed

An interview with the car KITT from Knight Rider. Notice how the Finnish reporter keeps referring to the Hoff as "Hasseldorff".

@001GenLee It was not William Daniels, I sat on the car, I live in Southern California, this is Universal Studios, Hollywood, I sat in it with a friend of mine, and I am like, so KITT what do you think of that new movie Knight Rider 2000where you get destroyed, he is like, I don't know anything about it lol

It'd been awesome to have been there to talk to KITT! But, that doesn't sound like William Daniel's voice, sounds like someone else talking as KITT's voice.

There are KITT tribute cars around the country, start going to car shows and asking around! Find the General Lee owners, I think a KITT shows up at a few of the Duke Fest events.

Why does KITT sound like a fag?

The car as it got less polular, was left on it's own when the team knight rider cars came out, then pushed onto the back lot next to the A-Team van for a while, and it has since left the lot in terrible shape to a junk yard. But if you are ever in Sothern California RBJ, you can stop by and talk to my KITT, it's a daily driver, and has a few oriiginal parts from a screen used KITT!

Unfortunately, KITT has passed on. It was on a "lake" to keep the car from getting mobbed at first, as it was so popular, so that was for crowd control. I did have a cheat sheet so I could at least say a few things in about 10 languages. Then I would say "Bonnie hasn't programed me with that language download yet!"

i was there when i was 10 years old i sit down by myself and take photos of kitt from inside and out, he was talking to me in English so i couldn't understand anything, i didn't speak English at that time, then my mother went with me and she translated everything i was like whatttt is he really responding you???? I used to watch the show in spain and there kitt spoke spanish. do you know if they still having kitt in universal studios i would love to sit down again in kitt it was off the wall !!

I was one of the "voices" of KITT at universal studios, but that is not me. It was on a lake to keep crouds in line, otherwise it was impossible to control people in an orderly fasion. A "helper" would let people sit in the car one at a time, and talk to kitt. It was really a universal studios tour guide doing their best to sound like William Daniels, the actualy voice of KITT on the show. We would comment on the color of their outfits, or hair styles and people would flip out, that it talked

Actually, this is one of the real cars used in the series, not a replica. This particular one is staged just outside the Universal Studios, over a pond as you can see.

The voice is toss of course, I take it they attempted to implement some voice response system with a voice other than William Daniels.

God, i miss driving mine. I'd sell my now General Lee Charger just to get him back. Sure, the Dukes car is all nice, but all it is is Decals and a Dixie horn...KITT Talked!!! and seemed like he had a personality and was real. He was Very Real to me growing up, as i had the KITT pedal car in 1984. First i have seen of the Universal Studios KITT talking. I don't think that's William Daniels' Voice, it sounds like someone else, but a very close call to William's voice!

Nice, I saw the original KITT when it was displayed in the lake like this, which seemed kinda a weird place to put a car. And later when it's 3rd season dash, and they'd moved it outside the lake. This is a hot car :)
