i assume there cant be many cops,or even other people,in parts of sweden,I couldnt go 5 miles without getting nicked in the uk for using an illegal fuel source thats not subject to tax on the road here in the shitty UK.

Oh yeah? Well, i survived three hours with a wood-gas powered car in London a mounth ago :-) (First time i ever drived a car in the UK with left side trafic)

you could probably get away with it with swedish plates,but definately not UK ones.

Kollar på tripmätaren. De går ca 5 mil på en laddning. Ja - Kör man för långt, så tappar den kraft och systemet blir väldigt varmt.

i seen a German car-show about a car that runs on wood (from factory, without modification) a few years ago, built in the 50s or 60s, there are only a few left, some old man had it and drove it around. top speed was 80kph or so. it was very cool

2 questions.. 1. what is the fuel? wood chips, pellets, sawdust? 2. how far can you drive before needing to add more fuel?

There were producer gas busses in London in the 40's, but then peas and prospectivity happened.

Saw a Honda 125 in Gainesville Florida in the late 70's - producer stack in an old fire extinguisher on the back rack. I wanted to put a stack in a sidecar on a 500 single. There ought to be a way to do it better / lighter / cleaner / safer. Silver (Long John?) here is right to be pessimistic about UK authorities though.
