  • That's just because you don't understand what a OS actually is and because you assume that what you do understand is simpler than the things you haven't learned anything about yet.

This is the main reason why Microsoft make money on things that you can get for free elsewhere. Would you purchase air if you can get breathe air of equal or superior quality for free? . Well Microsoft made a lot of people pay for air ;) - Have a nice day Sir and breathe carefully!

  • *We* should not cum anywhere. You cum in your own hand and let's keep it like that! However free software is pretty cool and in particular Linux who amongst other cool things support replacing the kernel, hotswapping ram and cpu's without restarting the system. Pretty cool eh? ;)

  • i reckon if you spend ages modifying linux by which i mean like 10 years i think it would be amazing but for now i'm sticking to my mac :)

  • I keep having problems with flash in lenny.

  • you can change the look if you dont like the default look i myself am not to fond of the OSX look

  • @Slurfs lol lol ok not cum come.. :P

  • @Slurfs lol nice point.....WE SHOULD CUM TOGETHER AND MAKE A NEW SOFTWARE THAT KILLS ALL THE REST! =D

  • Nothing is crash proof but most unix like systems like Linux, FreeBSD, Minix3 etc etc are far superior to for example Windows in many ways and especially when it comes to stability and speed. I'm not sure what you mean by strong but if you are referring to security related stuff Debian is without doubt the best there is ... and it's 100% free. If you buy Debian you pay for the CD and the software is yours! If you go Microsoft you do in fact pay for the right to USE software that is NOT yours!

  • @Slurfs ok well if its personalised i could understand but iz it strong?? fast.....crash proff?

  • Well you are free to configure Debian just the way you like it (as any other GNU/Linux distro). It seems you are judging the "os" by the graphical userinterface and setup this particular person is running e.g. by the looks of it and not by the possibilities it offers (for example a lot of userinterfaces). To me it seems like you don't know what you are talking about (no offence). I agree with you that I don't like this setup but that is the users "fault" and not the OS itself!.

  • dude no.........dude i said it sucks cuz it dosent look like a strong build os it looks like a fuckin copy of mac osx leopard..............and a mixtuer of windows with it beacuse the side bar apps
