NB The rules for air travel with pets is different outside the USA. In the Uk the animals must be in a certain type of pet carrier, and usually in the hold (I think unless they are guide dogs). Animals are NOT included as handluggage.
The European rules on Pet Passports and the UK quarantine rules have recently changed so be aware and check them out before hand.
