@gprix I know what the judges scores WERE! THEY WERE THE ONES ON CRACK MY FRIEND, MELDRICK'S HAND SPEED WAS STILL GIVING CHAVEZ PROBLEMS THROUGHOUT THE FIGHT!!
JUST LIKE THE IDIOT CHUCK GIAMPA (WHO RECENTLY CAME UNDER CONTRVERSY!) WHO HAD CHAVEZ AHEAD BY ONE POINT IN THE FIRST FIGHT! I LOVE THE LOOK ON CHAVEZ'S FACE WHEN HE CAME OVER TO SHOW MEL LOVE AFTER THEIR REMATCH WAS OVER! :)

@canibusnj 2nd fight: Before the ko, score was 2 judges for Chavez, 1 even. Are you guys on crack? No sense of shame or dignity.
-
@09Brant Is there a difference? What about the other guys. Where they clear about it or not.
And the second fight.....Mel was winning? Really. Mills was also wrong? How clear do you want it, Mel dying right there?
-
@09Brant Right, Meldrick WAS winning the fight up until Lane stopped it and Mexicans did breath a sigh of relief! It ALWAYS annoyed the hell out of me how King and his crooked ass wouldn't let Mel speak and kept interrupting him during the post fight interview.
Yes, they are 1-1 AS FAR AS A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE CONCERNED!!!!!
Sorry I don't respond to all of your messages, PEACE AS ALWAYS MITE!!!!!

RIP Angelo Dundee...managed Big ol' George Foreman...I think.

@gprix Of course I heard it, Gprix'er..but was Duva saying it as relating to him personally or professionally?
Also, look at Duva's whole argument..he said there were questionable dealings between Steele and King..or something like that. And how they weren't happy about Steele to begin with...now that could be after the fact that Duva said that.
-
@09Brant Annie Hall is good. So is Play It Again Sam.
But did you listen to what those guys said in Part 1. Yes, no, agree, disagree, what.
-
Hey, just got done watching the farce of a rematch, and I noticed the Mexicans let a big sigh of relief out after Mils stopped the fight.
Interesting side note here, notice how during the post fight interview of the rematch King would NOT let Taylor get a word in edgewise, huh?
They're 1-1 as far as I'm concerned.
As much as I dislike "Gay" Leonard, he was man enough to say public that "me and Tommy are 1-1", speaking of that ridiculous rematch that was called a draw?
-
@gprix Maybe you'll learn something if you come over to my house and watch a Woody Allen film.
"Annie Hall" was always a favorite of mine.

@09Brant Mite, what you want to believe is not "facts". As far as I'm concerned, you can believe anything you want. Why don't you go to Part 1 of this video and listen to what is said at the beginning. See what you think. Or maybe you already have, and think they (Duva included) are also crazy.
In any case, I don't care if you do or don't do.
It would really do you a lot of good if you go to ringside, and watch and listen. Or just a gym, and watch the guys spar. You'll learn something.
i remember seeing this fight live on HBO, March 17th 1990.. i was absolutely shocked when Richard Steele stopped the fight with only seconds to go..he really did rob Taylor of the championship belt and a win against the great Chavez..Steele should've been banned from boxing for life, and how could Lou Duva tell his fighter he needed the last round to win the fight, unbelievably bad advice...
