Check engine light on? Find out why! Enter an OBD-II code into this section of the app and MobileMechanic will tell you the code's definition, plus a list of causes and symptoms.

- SYMPTOM ANALYZER -
Got a problem but no check engine light? Or maybe your check engine light is on, but you don't own an OBD-II reader? Don't worry, because the Symptom Analyzer will help you to narrow down your list of possible causes based on the problems you are experiencing.

- FIND A MECHANIC -
Sometimes complex issues come up. If all of the other tools in the MobileMechanic app are not enough to help you with your car's issue, there is also the option to locate a nearby mechanic. The Find A Mechanic feature also lets you call nearby repair shops right from the app!

Can the OBD scanner be connected through bluetooth?

@TuPoetaLoco The app is designed so that it will work with any OBD-II device, not just bluetooth enabled ones. Once your OBD-II scanner pulls the code from the vehicle, simply type it into the app and you will be presented with possible causes and solutions.

Additionally, if you do not own an OBD-II reader, one can be purchased through the app for a discount.

If you do not own an OBD-II scanner and do not wish to purchase one, you can still use the Symptom Analyzer to solve your problem.
