@cantthinkk - It's hard to get over that some of their fans have not come to terms with reality.

@MrCritic863 People say get over stuff and just listen to the music..when they can't ignore us and take their own advice..it's retarded.
-
@cantthinkk - Then "mourn" in privacy and try to not dwell in the past.
-
@kalloused - It may not apply to this as well as I thought, but the style would definitely get old quick if you listen to CoF on a daily basis like I do.

@MrCritic863 I'm happy you still enjoy Cradle of filth, it's there to enjoy. I on the other hand pine very hard for the older albums and would love to hear one more.

@MrCritic863 Very few bands have maintained true popularity for jumping off the tracks in the metal community and getting away with it. Opeth for one(they hav always kind of done it in pieces of all their albums) and Soilwork with albums like Figure number five and stabbing the drama, going from face melting to beautiful. It's very hard and rare to start and end with somethng amazing. Rarely do bands succeed.

@MrCritic863 How would people feel if they saw this amazing direction like "The dark knight rises" and "the dark knight" created by this director" then for his final film of the batman series came out with something completely different like the first batman movie? People would hate it. Artists are loved for the style that makes them who they are.

@MrCritic863 Tell that to Martin Scorsece or George Lucas. I understand what your trying to say, I just don't think it applies to this. Maintaining a style is different than making the same thing. Movie directors are accredited for their style. The new Batman movies are hits because of the directors style. The final Batman movie isn't coming out with hopes of light colors and comic book like vilians, it wants a "dark knight" theme.

@Critic863 Can people stop crying about us crying? stfu we're in mourning..

@kalloused - Don't get me wrong, I do generally love their earlier music more than their later music. But how boring would it be if a movie-maker created a movie that pretty much had the same plot as Beauty and the Beast but with different characters and settings? Then imagine if they just keep the same plot and switching out characters and settings and making countless other movies that way. No matter how much the fans may like the man's films, they'll get tired of it eventually.
Can everyone stop crying about "Oh I wish they were still this good" and all that shit? Bands change, people change, grow up and accept it. Would you rather have a band that has variety or a band that pretty much remakes the same album over and over? I personally like variety because variety shows a band's true talent. Just shut up and enjoy the music instead of dwelling in the past.
