Me shooting my Ruger New Vaquero with a 7.5" barrel. The stock grips in the vid are very crappy so I immediately changed them out for some nice Houge cocobolo grips. All the ammo is hand-loaded ammo using a 250gr cast bullet and unique powder. Velocity of the loads out of this gun average 825fps.

  • are the hogue grips any thicker than the stock grips?

  • @glockster19 Yes, they are definitely thicker and feel much better. The factory grips were causing my hand to cramp because they were way too thin.

  • Damn, how much do those go for? Beautiful revolver

  • @TheSerenityhuck I got mine for $450. They no longer make the 7.5" barrel Vaquero's so I'm not sure what the price would be if you can find one.

  • @ericandamanda338 Ah damn. I like the 7.5" barrel. Thanks.

  • @ChromeArty Yeah, they stopped making it a few years ago. You might be able to find it on galleryofguns . com That's where I found mine. Some other sites may have it too.

  • @ericandamanda338 you are a lucky bastard, I can't even find a 7.5 '' one their website!

  • @ChromeArty Yup, I saw it with the 7.5" barrel and had to have it. I also have a 3.5" Birdshead Old Vaquero. They are both great shooters. Especially with my good handloads.

  • I didn't know that Ruger made the New Vaquero in the original 7.5 inch. That's awesome. I'm still waiting for mine to arrive in the mail :) Case hardened frame with 5.5 inch barrel in 45 LC. Can't wait. Also have a New Model Blackhawk in .357 mag.. haven't shot it yet though....

Now I just need some leather for these things

  • @ericandamanda338 yeah i like mine i got it for 400 bucks it wasnt new but it had never been shot befor i got it an the guy threw in a simons scope for my 22 new scope
