  • Well i think he's covering just slightly over the right amount of cover. On the high Eb "passar nelle tue tasche" he justly doesn't want to sound like a tenor.

  • no matter how he ended up sounding like that. Its stunning to listen to.

  • You really don't understand the difference between throaty and deeply seeded. Honestly, Americans have a throatier speaking voice... stuck in the nose, high in the throat... that is throaty. He is a natural bass with a lot of space... great for him. Siepi sounded this way... and he's very young. Has a promising career ahead of him.

  • lol you are SOOO right lol... it's especially apparent at 0:44 when he sings "passar nelle tue tasche" but it still sounds REALLY GOOD!!!!

  • eh, it's pretty flagrantly covered. still, i think that it sounds kinda cool, even though not technically correct...

  • I would actually bet it is is real voice. being that he's Russian also helps me believe it's his real voice. the Russian language itself is very throaty so it's probably his real voice when he's raised Russian. Had he been raised American chances are he would have had a brighter more "realistic" tone.

  • this is awesome singing. you just don't know good singing when you hear it. it is more his real voice then not.

  • the usual 'singing around a hole' phenomenon....too much....too open...too throaty...not his real voice unfortunately.....

  • beautiful voice, a little artificially covered. Great technique nonetheless.
