Sounds like the Doors, Light My Fire ~

Can imagine Phil when the Hornsby cops ejected them, him being a good ol' Barker College lad and all... :)

@tonynotbaloney excellent

Philip Prideaux used to work for my Dad.
I remember him as a real nice guy.
I think he went on to do TV tech work for Channel 7 or something.

I remember The Sound Machine. It must have been so interesting to be part of a succesful band likeLoving Spoonful. (As an aside, I think the lead singer has a mouth very much like Jimmy Morrison).

@winifredatwell I'm with you all the way.When he arks up at the end the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
What a great Australian song.
I was 12 years old at the time it came out yet hearing it 40years later I could recall every word.

Have always loved the song. This is the first time I've seen a clip. Kinda cool how the lead singer undersells the song with his very 'relaxed' performance...just goes to show that a good song doesn't need all the video bullshit theatrics required today!

Great song from a great era in Oz rock. Thanks for posting nzoz1969.
Hi
I was in the band at the time when Lazy life was launched. it went to number 4 in the Australian charts. I have now moved back to England. I had left the band before this video was made and after the Queensland Tour. Phil Prideaux, the horn player is still very much alive and i have been in touch with him recently.
