MANY ppl are now getting into the EDM scene just because they heard 1 song of an aritist on the radio. -.-
I just scared EDM will become something mainstream to the point were it just becomes trash & loose it's meaning, have you heard the radio lately? & what kind of meaningless & horrid lyrics are said? Image YOUR favorite DJ making some piece of shit track just to get it on the radio? I know its all about making money but PLEASE leave edm for the people who don't take music as a fucking joke

Dude i love EDM. got into it in like 2007/08 and never stopped listening to it. I only really liked a certain type of Electro/Electro House that i can't really explain. now im starting to listen to Dubstep, Drum & Bass, Progressive House, Trance, Glitch Hop, Breaks, and more Electro House. EDM is da best.

A rave to me is everybody as a family loving n caring for one n others n enjoying ur lifestyle choice u picked wit so many others that's live in it also
-
"the difference in someone who goes to raves and a raver is "some people go to enjoy a good time, and some people go to live in the moment" p.s. "A moment" is a time frame that has no deffinate begining and still no deffinate end"

I dont doubt you enjoy them,i see you understand the feeling of unity for the people and music. thats great, but dont think the scene you see today is the heart and soul of what raving is about. Raves today are just as raunchy and degrading as going to "regular clubs" where drunks pick fights and thugs run your shit. just saying, i have a family now, but the music is still part of my soul and the love is still in my heart <3 p.l.u.r. peace/love/unity/respect choose it/feel it/know it/show it!

a rave is about the unity of the soul. the drugs is NOT what a true to life rave is about. the drugs are just a tool to enhance your inner being. bring out the inner peace and love to create a harmonious atmosphere in which every person who takes part of creating the whole of the party (the energy connection you have with the music and people) can be free from judgment/cruelty/prejudice and unite in the love of the beat! THAT my friend is a rave

I raved in the late 90's untill 2001. the scene was so different . it was real, it was "secret" it was random and raw! the music was hardcore spiritual, and i never seen better dancers than the crew ONELUV and their NYC counter part crew "the Frogz". i'm not talkin this dubstep crap! i'm not talking about "raging" (which is stupid.raging is for death metal concert not a rave) the styles of dance you mention were babies in my day. how about some old skool like tikking, tutting even the B-Boyz?

to BAG04U ".rave isn't music ...not using instruments.." you idiot "A RAVE" is not a type of music.... its a dance party that plays EDM! as in "i'm going to A RAVE" or "i like to go raving" . and to lie4adub.... the scene has been around since before our parents were alive. the "scene" began in the UK and moved here a LOONG time ago. rent the movie "Party Monster" its a really good movie about how the scene was brought to the east coast. its not a documentary...its an actual movie.

My idea of a rave was bad boys II shit.. lol
the raving, lightshows, and drugs are just an added bonus. i can sober rave no problem. ive done it and still have an amazing fucking time. If you can respect the music and scene then the use of drugs is just an added bonus (=. I FEEL YOU HOMIE. what your saying is what im trying to get across to my family and my girlfriend. its more than just drugs and "TECHNO" haha its the freedom of the soul on the dance floor and escape from reality.
PLUR keep it alive
