Surrender At The Water's Edge

Lupus caused Melanie McGaughey's physical and mental health to spiral out of control. She finally grew tired of fighting the battle and decided to end her life. On a dark October night, she cursed God as she walked out to a lake to drown herself. But she was stopped by a small voice which told her, "You don't have to know all the answers to the questions you are asking, you know the one who does". She knew at that moment that God was pursuing her. For the first time, Melanie experienced life.

Seven years later on that very same day, Melanie walked into a lake to be baptized to testify to the world that God had saved her. Life is not easy, she still feels the effect of Lupus, but she knows that God is her warrior and continues to fight for her every day.
