    Patrick Day,

I can only confirm that the XPS 8500 is compatible with our OEM JCW0V Nvidia GeForce GTX660. I cannot speak to the retail flavors of that video card.

Is the Nvidia GTX 660 compatible with my XPS 8500? Will it fit in the case? Thanks!

im stuck between the same two and i think im goin the 8500 route as i have heard horror stories about alienware and i dont trust the ULTRA compact design for heating reasons. go with the upgradeablity and safer than sorry approach

Well just from my knowledge the Dell XPS 8500 is a better overall computer, for it has extra space for upgradeability and more ram. However, if you are looking for more of a strictly gaming computer the Alienware will give you better performance in that aspect, but no by much. Both computer are great, but put into mind that the Alienware is small, compact and you are not only using it for gaming. Dell is my choice.
