  • yes the nes was very difficult... TMNT just happened to be the first game I had on the NES, well next to mario of course but holy crap it took me 15 years to beat that game. Also Masterblaster, that was a frustrating game. having to go back to the beginning and trying to find the way around... crap man I was only 12 at the time... how the hell could you know where to go on Masterblaster or beat freaking shredder on TMNT...

  • @MasterLee21 Masterblaster i need to go through again, its been way so long. But yea its confusing as hell. Now TMNT, i just went through the game doing some video for it the other day. Shredder was hard back in the day. For one, on a console, the lag was way worse than it is on a emulator and slows it down hell much. So just getting to shredder was a task in its self. Beating him now, after so many years was cake. Amazing once you learn patterns how easy it is. Thanks for viewing man,

  • Used underwear on ebay?...Im there;-)

  • @the1andonlybigh I always use the live console to beat games, the only reason I use emulation is if I wanna check out a game before I buy it off Ebay (to assure I'll enjoy it). I'm against save states and I've always believed they cheat you out of the full experience. I usually don't use Gamefaqs or Youtube walkthroughs on the oldies, and I develop my own tactics to use against the harder games. I do have a bit of a Nintendo Power collection, and the retro ones are good enough for me.

  • @MrRetroGamer96 Yea, those are some tough ones. Now did you do this on the NES or an emulator. If you want to try a few hard ones if you have an emulator, download Simons Quest (and use no help from sites, play like we had to back in the day without any tips). See now you find guides for all the old school games. But back then, we had a 100 page Nintendo Power Magazine with very little help on any game at all, lol. Ironsword is another fun but a bitch of a game.

  • @Roboprez3 I'm 14 (obviously not around when NES came out) and I have beaten some tough games in the 8 and 16 bit eras. I've finished Super C (with and without codes), Bucky O' Hare, Joe and Mac (the NES one is VERY hard, and you have to get a certain weapon in order to have any chance of finishing), Gargoyle's Quest games, a few Megamans too.

As far as 16 bit era I've also beaten a good few hard ones. Joe and Mac 2 was by far the toughest. I almost had a fucking heart attack after winning.

  • @Roboprez3 Very true man, they are not a walk in the park. Some were way simple others can take longer time than some of the PS3 or xbox games, lol. Battletoads for example took me over 5 years of playing to finally beat it. Thats not everyday of course, but once every few days i would try. Then one day, boom. FF13 only took 50 hours. ? lol Thanks for viewing and commenting.

  • Let's face it, NES games are hard as hell. If you didn't grow up in the NES days, you'll have a very difficult time beating them
