Hi. Why do the English locomotives lit the lamp on only one side?

@citaro31 If it's the older heritage loco's, then they have a single high intensity head light fitted. The newer stuff has twin light's, which depending on weather running during the daytime or nightime, as to which light they have on. It's to do with our railway regs & rules.

Did i just see that beautiful 31 arc as it went over the point or was i dreaming?

It was the wheel's grinding & making sparks, put i think it may of arced. Cheers.
