WBZ carried Boston Celtics' games from 1972/73 through 1984/85.
Until Larry Bird's rookie year in 1979/80, the only home games WBZ got to televise were during the playoffs, when the station carried all games, home and away, not on network TV.
But during WBZ's final six years as Celtics' TV flagship, they carried about half of the regular-season contests as well as all playoff games not on network TV, including a number of regular-season home games from the old Boston Garden.
