can someone tell me what type of engine that sound came from because eveyone knows that on knight rider the origional series kitts engine was a sound effects from universal studious but the sound had to come from some motor because it sound like a 1960s daytona nascar

@MrandMrsOlden I'd also love to know the answer to that. Nobody seems to know exactly what it is even though the sound effect is used throughout the series. I've even heard similar sounds in other universal tv shows, yet the exact source is still a complete mystery!

@Jamesh1991 Honestly, it sounds like a supercharged Kenne Belle Mustang. It's like a combination of a V8 roar with the whine of a supercharger and non-hydraulic lifters at some serious RPM.... Maybe they recorded a top fuel dragster or something.... It beats the hell out of me....
