Neil Hannon's perfect musical version of the poem Lucy, written by William Wordsworth. As with the other songs i've uploaded, I couldn't find the album version on YouTube so here it is.

No motion has she now, no force;
She neither hears nor sees -
Rolled round in earth's diurnal course
With rocks, and stones, and trees.

the words are just....amazing. i've really got into poetry after this

i love the way he sums up lucy's life near the end with the music becoming more intence and compact.

I studied Wordsworths Lucy poems in school. I dont really like poetry but the Lucy poems blew me away. To hear one of them composed to music by The Divine Comedy was a dream. I stopped dead in my tracks when i heard it by chance.Stunningly beautiful but as usual Hannon adds his own throw away or pay attention detail in the cows. Magnificent.
