So just trying a few test in editing. This was shot on a Canon t2i w 85mm f1.8 lens @ 60 frames a second, then slowed down to 24 playback in Vegas Studio 10. The last part is the same footage but burned and slowed down again to max speed - 300 % ? It turned out WAY too choppy for real use.
Any suggestions to get super slo mo in Vegas studio? Whats the best frame rate to shoot at, I assume 60 frames a second, but at what shutter speed???
The effect is called Twixtor in Adobe Aftereffects but the latest Vegas versions have a similar effect. Search "Twixtor Vegas" to get some demos. It works best on shots like this one where the camera is locked down so the software can concentrate on just the parts that are changing. It has to generate in-between frames since those frames don't exist no matter what shutter speed you're using. Good luck!
