"Allison!"

Allison swiftly turned around to see Joe Jonas heading towards her. She smiled weakly as he neared her and the two began walking in motion together, "Hey, I just needed a list of all the boys on the team that turned in their physical on time."

"Yeah, I can do that." Allison replied sweetly.

"Great," he paused for a moment, "so how have you liked being a first aid so far?"

"It's nice; it's a good experience to have." Allison could tell he was only trying to make conversation for the sake of it. Though he had given up on her he seemed more determined now more than ever.

"Yeah, I totally agree. Hopefully none of the guys are giving you too hard of a time." Joe joked, slightly nudging her.

She giggled at his remark, but could tell it sounded fake, "No, they're all being nice. Don't worry."

Joe continued to smile, obviously not taking a hint, "Well if they aren't just tell me and I'll be sure to set them straight."

"Like I said, they're all perfect angles," she faked a smile, "I got to get to class, but I'll see you at practice."

"Alright." Joe lightly patted her shoulder before turning down another hallway.

Allison sighed as she reached her classroom and took a seat; it seemed like Joe was never going to give up on her. She had to do something to show him that the two of them just weren't meant to be.

"I need a favor." Allison immediately asked as she met up with Selena on their way to lunch.

"Uh, okay." Selena stammered, caught of guard a bit.

"I wanna go on a double date with you and Taylor."

"Oh my gosh," Selena squealed, "with who?"

"Jared." Allison replied, her face completely serious.

"Whoa, why are you being so formal about this?" She giggled.

"Sorry," Allison shook her head to clear her thoughts, "I haven't talked to Jared about it yet cause I thought I'd better check with you first."

"Ally, it's totally cool. But you aren't going to ask Jared yourself, are you?" Selena asked worriedly.

Allison bit down on her lip and slowly shrugged her shoulders.

"Ally," she wailed, "you can't just ask a guy out on a date."

"Well then what am I supposed to do?" Allison argued back.

Selena stayed silent for a moment before a smile grew on her face, "I think I know how to get Jared to ask you out."

"Allison raised an eyebrow, "You do?"

"How about we all plan to go out this Friday, he'll ask you by Thursday." Selena simply said.

"And exactly how are you going to do this?"

"It's a secret." Selena declared. "But it'll definitely work, don't you worry."

Nick stayed quiet as he observed Selena write into her notebook, her eyes jumping back and forth from her book back to her writing. Her face was tender and she seemed so, so fragile. He smiled as he saw her eyes raise to meet his, "What?" She asked embarrassed, her cheeks turning a light flush of pink.

"Just watching you." Nick replied coolly.

"Well stop, I'm trying to focus." She tried hiding a smile, but failed as she looked back down at her work.

"So when exactly are you going to be done with your homework?" Nick stretched back into Selena's desk chair and stared up at the ceiling.

"Soon." She hummed, "You can leave if you want though. I'm sure Joe's probably wondering where you are."

"Nah, he's probably still at baseball."

"Really? But it's already 6." Selena's eyes met Nick's once again.

He shrugged aimlessly, "You know how Joe gets with baseball, it's his life."

"I think he needs something to loosen up." She pointed out.

"I think he needs a girl." Nick contradicted.

"Nick, Joe has a girl. Demi?" Selena said, slightly offended.

"I know that, but they don't really ever seem to be with each other. I don't think they're a good match." He stated.

Selena furrowed her eyebrows together as she turned her attention back to her work. How dare Nick say something like that about her best friend's relationship. Joe and Demi were perfect together. Nick didn't know what he was saying.
