  • Is it just me or the guy in the background at 4.18 missing the point when he says 'no'?

  • this changed my life

  • @gore53 After listening to many Paul Washer msgs, I've never heard him ascribe to any personal greatness. The Holy Spirit uses frail, imperfect, flawed men who have a "Christ centered" heart to do a great work. Brother Washer's preaching is like a breath of fresh spiritual air in a jungle of falsehood. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent

Acts 17:30 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

    Luke 5:32

  • @gore53 Washer didn't say anything like that in this video. did you watch it? he gave God the glory on this video. he spoke to the mass, and told them that he was a filthy wretch, and the only reason he does what he does, and he is what he is, is because Jesus saved him. I agree with you, that God calls us to repentance, and that our understanding of spiritual things only come from God, but do not spurn him as if he is not your brother. he accepts Jesus as His Lord. love him as a brother. Please

  • @gore-I read threw most of the comments and felt the same way, we should not argue over another mans diffrence in thoughts

I am nothing without Christ and I am with joy there are brothers seeking Him as i am !

  • @MrDen312 Yes indeed, there's a lot of infighting among Christians. It plays right into satan's strategy: as arguing over trivialities prevent us from being occupied in reaching the lost souls of this world with the Good News concerning the next. What business do ambassadors, representing God's Kingdom, have in being petty?

The greater cause should dictate our behavior to outsiders :-)

Grace and peace to you from God the Father through Jesus Christ our Lord

  • @gore53 When I referred to Acts I was peeping that myself and had a feeling where you were going. I get where you're coming from, not quite seeing it the same way, but recognizing you're not coming from mars. With that said, it is so great to have a conversation with a believer on here that doesn't kick dust on our faith. Too many believers are on here arguing and having verbal street fights as if the Spirit of God has any part in it and it is bad for the church. We are brothers indeed!

  • @MrDen312 Thanks for your respectful attitude. If we both believe Jesus died in our place, we are brothers. I'll toss this out, but ask God for illumination. Acts 2 in context states that the Jews Peter was addressing were convicted, and distressed, over having killed the Messiah, hence, "What shall we do?" And Peter told them repent of what you have done.

Today we repent over who Jesus is: a Savior we need.

God doesn't count sins against man (2Cor5:19). Repentance today is to BELIEVE this.

  • @gore53 I dont understand when you say we're not to call men to repentance. Peter preached repentance in the early chapters of Acts, not mention John the Baptist and Jesus himself. Not to get into a pharisitical peeing contest but I really don't know where you got that from scripturally because I've never seen it. If you know something I don't and you're a brother of the faith...edify.
